Ken is implementing a Community Engagement & Consultation Email List (or, a Newsletter for short).

An informed community is an engaged community; an engaged community is a healthy community.

I have heard that some residents are unaware of what is happening in Ward 5 or the City of Summerside, and this email list will provide an avenue to keep residents informed.

I treasure community feedback and engagement and often will seek public consultation on issues before Council. I have a history of bringing groups of people together, asking questions, and building programs and services around others' ideas. 

I hope this is a way to extend an olive branch to the portion of the community that feels municipal politics is irrelevant, out-of-touch with the people, or that residents have no input on decisions.  

Again, I love the process of designing a community, learning together, and working together for a common good. Check out some of my past experiences. From youth to seniors, and all points in between, hey, I (bottom line) enjoy the building of community.
